Art Dump (Wonder Woman, Storm, Donovan)

I seem to have this habit, I seem to make fan art with at least a small bit of cultural slant to them.

Take for example, these three suspects.

"Rear view"

Don't ask me what I'm seeing in the rear view,
in the rear view mirror.
Ain't nothing but trouble,
Ain't nothing but trouble.

Ask me what you really what you want to know,
Ask me, "Hey, brown eyes, what you outrunnin'?"
I ain't nothing you don't want me to be,
and you want me to be everything.

Nothing but trouble.
Nothing but trouble.

Tell the truth, but tell it slant.
Play the game, but play it square.
And you, brown eyes, you get to stay on my mind,
under my skin, the heat on my boxed ears.

I can't outrun the night,
that's what I'm tellin' you.
That's all I see in the rear view.
Just ugly night, ulgy dark, and nothing but trouble.

I don't know why you had to ask,
why you climbed in with me or why I let you,
But you did, and I did, and the doings done.
But now we're outrunnin' the same thing.

Is this how it works?
Is this how you and me, how we're 'spose to be?

This poem was satisfying. Felt good, getting it off my chest and out of my mind.
Don't get that often. Heh.

A tide of cynics,
and the crush of the irregular, inconstant living things we call our fellow man,
Asphodel, stems intertwined,
floral Ouroboros, wreathed around resignation
and inevitability.
I could not stay pure forever,
and you have what you came for.

I'm an INFP and apparently that means I'm an idealist that sees the world through rose colored glasses. Who knew?

But, as a small consolation, look at this list of fictional INFPs.

"Anne (Anne of Green Gables)
Calvin (Calvin and Hobbes)
Deanna Troi (Star Trek - The Next Generation)
Wesley Crusher (Star Trek - The Next Generation)
Doctor Julian Bashir (Star Trek: Deep Space 9)
Bastian (The Neverending Story)
E.T.: the ExtraTerrestrial
Doug Funny, Doug cartoons
Tommy, Rug Rats cartoons
Rocko, Rocko's Modern Life cartoons"

That's right, I'm like Rock, E.T. and Calvin all rolled into one! We'll just conveniently ignore Wesley Crusher...

Lest we forget

that deep down, I'm just a silly kid at heart.

“Forgive me my weakness,
for I have abused my gifts.
I have strange power of stride you see.
I can walk worlds and walk back,
For what else could describe coming back to you?
In a breath, I may walk the diameter of this tiny sphere,
Cleanly bisect it to hemispheres, along the equator,
But I will always slingshot home,
To you, the North Star, upon which the night sky turns.”

It's been awhile, but here's a meme.

IF YOU'RE ON MY FRIENDS LIST, I want to know 35 things about you. I don't care if we never talk, or if we already know everything about each other. Short and sweet is fine... You're on my list, so I want to know you better!

Sword lily, the flower of gladiators.
A golden stab in the heart,
too bright, too perfect, too earnest.
Arms curved gently like the keel of a ship,
warm embrace sagging like a cradle.
No far off shores though,
and no plain stretched roads.
Just a wish and love.
And maybe even home.

I have no idea if my poetry is getting worse or better, just that it has plenty of room to grow. I also know that I still have very little external control over it. >_<

Epiphany at 3 am

I've come to the fine, nuanced and subtley shaded conclusion that everything is batshit crazy.

(Edit: One of these days, I'm going to give my readers context to my more random entries. Really, I promise...some day...)
